Family Research Institute (FRI) was established based on an inclusive and interdisciplinary approach as the first institute in Iran for family studies FRI, with comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach. welcome collaboration of specialists from a variety of related fields including psychology, psychiatry, counseling, social work, sociology, anthropology, education, law, family health, and genetics.
Located on a hilltop in the northern part of Shahid Beheshti University, the Institute currently contains a research and observation laboratory equipped with a closed-circuit television and a full-sis one-way mirror, a testing and assessment laboratory, a specialized library with valuable family related Persian and English sources, and a media and communication center. FRI since its establishment founded a specialized family clinic in order to be able to provide professionals service to those families which are in need and also uses this facility to provide MS students with supervised clinical practice as part of this training.
